Go Caroling Day

Go Caroling Day, observed on December 20th, encourages participation in the beloved tradition of singing Christmas carols, whether door-to-door through neighborhoods or as part of larger community gatherings, a practice that has brought festive musical cheer to the winter holiday season for centuries. Caroling's origins trace back to medieval European wassailing traditions, in which groups traveled between homes singing and offering blessings in exchange for food, drink, or small gifts, a practice that gradually evolved over subsequent centuries into the more purely musical, less transactional caroling tradition recognizable today. Many beloved traditional carols, including "Silent Night," "O Holy Night," and "Hark!
